NYTimes Zucchini Pasta Recipe →

downsizing:
Delicious and easy. I didn’t use the tomato sauce, or the parmesan and I added some garlic. Amazing.
I made this for dinner tonight because I looooove zucchini, but I used frozen garlic from Trader Joe’s* and added cherry tomatoes. No sauce, just parmesan cheese. YUM. Dinner WIN.
*This is easily the best thing I’ve learned about all year, thanks, Sari! One cube of...

Somewhere around 4 a.m.,
I rolled over and discovered that the only parts of my body that weren’t sore were my hands, my feet, and my face.
Obviously the only thing to do was exercise, so I spent an hour on the bike. All in all, two great days of exercise.

she said, your body is an organic whole.
you cannot choose bits and pieces.
it all works together.
you’re not a torso and legs.
you’re a whole machine.
i’m an extraordinary machine, at that.
Our return to the road only lasted two miles this...
but it was a good two miles, and pacing a full minute faster than where I’d been when we last ran outside. So that was cool.
And naturally, feeling like a bit of a badass, I decided to do a second workout this afternoon. This Jillian Michaels workout, to be exact. Five full minutes each of bicep curls and tricep presses? I think I’m dead now. And hoping I don’t need to use...
Can music affect your workout? →
yourbestbodyever:
What kind of music do you like to listen to when you workout?
Anything I know the words to so that I can sing out loud and off-key to BF. Rick Astley works really well for this. Also hip-hop, rap, all other eighties pop classics and rock. If it makes me want to dance, jump around, sing or drive fast, it will probably make me want to run.

Experts agree that one of the best ways to ensure a longer, healthier life is to eat well, keep your weight in check, and eat the right foods for your body. While it’s easy to give in to poor eating habits, it’s actually quite easy to eat healthfully, when you pare it down to a few rules. Following are my top 10 healthy eating tips.

I have even more respect for all of you triathletes out there because of today’s workout. My legs felt like jelly for the first half-mile on the treadmill, and then just death thereafter. It was all I could do to make it through. If swimming had been involved, I may very well have drowned myself just to avoid the rest of the thing. It basically felt as though I had never run before (and...
4 very slow and difficult miles on the treadmill.
One for each day I haven’t exercised. I was hoping spending ten days at high altitude would make my return to Texas running a breeze, but it didn’t. Also, it was 102F today and our air conditioner couldn’t compete. Nonetheless I did manage correctly answer an entire category of Double Jeopardy. That has to be worth something, right?
